Senior Mobile Engineer - Android (f/m/d)

Then we should definitely meet! For our office in Frankfurt am Main we are looking for you as Senior Android Developer (m/f/d).

These will be your tasks

  • You develop and maintain our Android Passenger application as part of the Android team
  • You work closely with the teams iOS, UX & Visual Design and Backend to create a delightful user experience
  • You make technical decisions about architecture and implementation details together with the team
  • You write automated tests to verify behavior and avoid regressions
  • You follow best practices to ensure that the application lives up to the team's development standards
  • You brainstorm and plan upcoming features and improvements together with Product Management
  • You learn new Android and mobile technologies while working together in a highly motivated and experienced product team
  • You continually look to improve and bring new ideas to the team

Job requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with building Android applications with Kotlin
  • Disciplined approach to development, testing and code structure
  • Strong experience with architecture patterns
  • Strong experience with Android Jetpack libraries
  • Good understanding of dependency injection
  • Good understanding of common design principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS etc.)
  • Good understanding of reactive programming principles
  • Willingness to learn and share your knowledge
  • You have a very good knowledge of spoken and written English, because English is the company language in our international team
  • You should cover some of these topics:
    • Experience with MVVM
    • Experience with maintaining applications on Google Play
    • Dagger, RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Jetpack Compose, Gradle
    • Experience building client applications for HTTP APIs using RESTful JSON
    • Some understanding of Material Design components and guidelines
    • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
    • Interest in writing articles in technical magazines, blogs, user groups as well as to talk at conferences
  • In case you do not master each topic yet, we are happy to support you in further improving your skills
